Japan Vacation, March 2025.

I recently had my 4th trip to Japan! its been 9 years since I got to visit the country, and it was just as magical as my previous visits.

I spent my first 2 nights staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel in Disneysea and it was an experience I cannot put into words. The hotel gorgeous, I felt like I was a princess in a castle the entire time.

The week that followed in Tokyo included a lot of shopping for stationary, trying out the best soufflé pancakes at Bam Bi in Shinjuku and looking for the most beautiful Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) that was blooming. I actually didn’t plan my trip around Sakura season and I was pleasantly surprised when my girlfriend told me it was. I was a few days early so I didn’t get to experience the ‘full bloom’ but searching for tree’s during early bloom was still a fun and relaxing activity I did most days :)

I spent some quality time unwinding in a love hotel in Shinjuku! I find it so thrilling to be honest, getting down and dirty in a place like that. It kinda reminds me of brothels to be honest, just BYO company!

I got the Shinkansen and this was a first experience for me! I loved it and cant believe they have had this smooth effective form of transport for decades, we are so far behind in most other countries!

Unfortunately, I got off in Osaka. I know plenty of people rate this city, but I just cant see why? I am kicking myself I didnt spend my last 3 days in Kyoto instead, I know I would have had a much nicer time there.

The Osaka Castle was lovely, and plenty of gorgeous Sakura to be found blooming. But really the city didn’t have much more to offer me. The food was not all it had been cracked up to be, and the amount of tourists made walking around the city very difficult. I honestly couldn’t believe I was in Japan whilst I was there, it felt like a very different part of Asia.

I spent the last night drinking my favourite champagne in the Four Seasons hotel bar. It was the most relaxing and pleasant time in Osaka if I am being honest. Away from the crowds, watching the sunset, sipping on Champagne, definitely one of my favorite ways to relax and unwind, if you know, you know!

On my Final day in the city before my flgiht I killed some time exploring the Osaka Aquarium, which is said to be one of the best in the world. I LOVED IT. It was like nothing I had seen before. They had some whale sharks, some HUGE crabs, adorable puffins. It was a fantastic experience and one of the only things I would recommend if you ever find yourself in Osaka.

I love travelling, but coming home is always so nice. I always miss my own comforts and love the thought of planning my next adventure!

Im looking forward to a steamy weekend away mid winter somewhere tropical!

With love,

Tash xoxo
